I bought a mammy cookie jar but the cold paint is not wore at all. Do you think that someone could have re painted it? It has McCoy on the bottom and the grazing inside. What would this do to the value? And how can I tell for sure. Jeanne, You probably have one of the many reproductions made by Roger Jennings from Tennessee. He reportedly bought some of the original molds when McCoy closed its doors and has been reproducing some of the better known cookie jars.
