I am originally from Cave City. (My Mother still has our house there.) It
was/is called the Gateway to Mammoth Cave. My father retired from the Park
Service after 37 years 'in the cave'. Only 2 thousand people, not much
industry. Mostly income from tourists. All kinds of Motels! It was a
quite place to grow up and I didn't realize how lucky I was until I moved
to a big city!! Everyone knows everyone which can be a pain at times but
all in all it's a nice community. Close enough to Bowling Green and
Nashville and Louisville. I have found a few things (good prices) at the
big mall (which used to be the National Store). I go home and my how
things change!!!!
