In the McCoy pottery book I have it states,"Most of the gold decorated pieces
found were not decorated by McCoy. They sold many of their pieces to the
Shafer Co. of Zanesville, OH. Shafer added the 23K gold trim enhancement and
then sold the pieces themselves. Of course, some pieces were still marked
McCoy and Shafer frequently put a stamp on the bottom. They did not decorate
all the pieces the same......etc." This doesn't exactly say who they were,
just that they were a place that decorates. Does that give you any more
info..Theupsmom@aol.com
