Kathy, 
What is the shape of your jar and what is the picture like?  I think I
may have found it in  the paperback book McCoy Cookie Jars from First to
the Latest.    Does it have block handles, jhalf-circle finial, cylinder
shape?  If so it was made sometime between 1946-1954.  Although the
exact jar isn't in the Sanford red book, others that shape averae around
$50.00, more or less.  I have never been a cookie jar collector, so that
is not my area of expertise, if I have one :)
