There were so many McCoy pieces on the set that I lost count. There is a shelf in the kitchen that has 2 triple lily and 2 single lily planters. There also was a swan vase and several other items. In the room off the kitched was a nook that had what looked to be a china hutch with more McCoy on and in it. Now we know where all of the McCoy is going to Hollywood. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- End of McCoy Pottery List Digest --------------------------------------------------------------------------- To be removed from the list, send email to requests@secure.mia.net with the following command in the body of the message: unsubscribe McCoyPottery-Talk You can also unsubscribe on line at: http://mccoypottery.com/mailinglistsFrom: McCoyPottery Online Talk From McCoyPottery-Talk@secure.mia.net Sun, 10 Oct 99 20:00:01 -0500 Date: Sun, 10 Oct 99 20:00:01 -0500 From: McCoyPottery Online Talk McCoyPottery-Talk@secure.mia.net Subject: McCoy Pottery List Digest #68 - 10/10/99 McCoy Pottery List Digest #68 - Sunday, October 10, 1999 mccoy nixon mug by Re: mccoy nixon mug by Re: mccoy nixon mug by Re: mccoy nixon mug by ELIZABETH VAUGHN Re: mccoy nixon mug by 4 pc. I am 20 year collector with about 200 pieces of McCoy, but I am still confused about the USA mark. Apparently McCoy used it as I see some pieces with just "USA" listed in the books. Did other companies also use it? Would one of the experts be so kind as the talk about the USA mark and when and if other companies also used it. Thanks, Ruth Cottrell cotrell@gte.net ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From revaughn@webtv.net Mon, 25 Oct 1999 07:21:40 -0400 (EDT) Date: Mon, 25 Oct 1999 07:21:40 -0400 (EDT) From: ELIZABETH VAUGHN revaughn@webtv.net Subject: The USA Mark There are Shawnee pieces marked USA, usually with periods, I believe. Also, there are some pieces of Shawnee, Brush, and Hull with a number and USA. Once you become familiar with them, each company had its own style of marking, Of course, they also had their own distinctive glazes. Look at the books on some of these other potteries, and most will show the marks. We started with McCoy in the 70's and got interested in all Ohio potteries. There are some pieces we never get identified. Hope this helps. Our problem is identifying the unmarked pieces. We find ourselves not wanting to purchase any pieces that are not marked. Can anyone suggest a way to help identify the unmarked pieces? ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Just wondering if there are any Haeger experts out there. I recently purchased a Haeger marked rabbit with Easter egg planter in a matte peach glaze for a gift, and can not find history, etc. It appears old, but just don't know. I wish it was McCoy!
