Made it Thru 'Floyd'

Hello again,
Yes I am in NC, right along I-95. Floyd hit
pretty hard last night. Not at much wind as
Fran but a LOT more rain. Some 400,000
people lost their electricity. We lost ours
at 3:30 AM, but had it back by 10:00 AM.
Much better than the 8 days we were without
power after Fran. Lots & lots of flooding.
The only 'personal' thing we know of so far
was a tree that fell on Brenda' Grandparents
grave, knocking the headstone down. Doesn't
appear to be broken; however. Have heard of
4 casualities so far - all from traffic
accidents.
Since we have our power back, I'm planning
on loading my generator tommorrow and assist
some folks with keeping their food freezers
cold. We lost all our frozen food after
Fran and plan to do what I can to prevent
this from happening to others.
One note on McCoy - the frog I was
describing! Boy do I feel stupid about
saying I couldn't find it in the books.
It's on the cover of 'The Collectors
Encylopedia of McCoy Pottery' - Sharon & Bob
Huxford. Guess I had Floyd on the brain.
Take care.
