I don't about the particular piece you're asking about...can you e-mail me a 
photo?  Last year I sold a Brush piece that had gold trim and was also marked 
23 k. gold guaranteed. Fortunately , it had the original sticker from the 
brush factory still on it to help with identification.  Chiquita
