Hell-o, I was told that I could post here for help. I really do need help on this = one, I can't find it in any book at the library and don't have any ideas ab= out it? I would appreciate any help that I can get on this. I have a white McCoy vase that stands 8" tall and about 4 and 3/4" across t= he top. It has M C Y on the bottom. I am sure that it is old as it has been= packed away for years. I am pretty sure that it is a McCoy. I have a pict= ure that I can send if it will help. Hi, Karen and welcome to the line. I have looked in my books (2 HNH) for the vase and can't find one exactly like it. It's sort of Scandinavia looking but not exactly so I suggested Karen ask around in here because so many of you are much more knowledgeable than I am. I have seen the vase and it is marked McCoy (faint and hard to read). I 'see' it because I 'know' what the mark looks like and can barely make it out. So if any of you need a pic, let one of us Karen's know and we will see that you receive one!!! Thanks again, McBuddies!! I would think that due to the fact that you probably won't be churning your own butter (or especially if you did), you should be able to have someone make you a "handle/paddle" for it. Any decent carpenter should be able to put one together for you. You'll need a picture or something for him (/her) to go by, perhaps one of the McCoy books has a picture of what it looked like. Once it's made you can stain it or age it or leave it alone as you see fit. An original would most likely have had NO finish on it as you would not want any type of chemicals, etc. in your butter. Being made of wood and considering the way in which it was used, I'd be very surprised if one would find an original. You never know though, I'm sure there's one out there somewhere. The fun lies in the hunt, as we all know! Hope this helps. Best, Bob Short049@aol.com wrote: > Thank you. It sold for $102.50 (looks like it was sniped in the last few minutes of the auction.)
