Hello!
I'm brand new to this group and to McCoy pottery in general. I've been
looking thru ebay at all the McCoy there.......some nice, some not so
nice. I've always liked certain styles of McCoy, but never owned any and
never knew it had a name or was collectible. I think i could easily go
broke if i'm not careful, just judging by what i've seen online at ebay
and a few other websites ;)
I got started on this new adventure from 1 photograph of a vase i saw
and liked. I found out it's a McCoy, and a fairly hard to get style----i
saw it called a sand dollar vase and a 14" deco floor vase......that's
what got me interested, and now i've found other pretty McCoy things.
I'm still on a quest for that sand dollar vase, in matte white, but
until i find that one, it looks like i'll have alot to keep me busy.
I've read the McCoypottery.com website, about the history of the company
and the marks on the pottery and I know i will be reading this
discussion group alot, but any advice for a complete novice would be
greatly appreciated ;) Thanks!
JB
