We are new at collecting American pottery and are learning more everyday. =
One mark for instance has us stumped. It is always a well incised 3 digit =
number followed by a curved hyphen and then the letters USA with the horizo=
ntal crossbar in the "A" extending out to the right of the letter and angli=
ng slightly up at about 30 deg. angle. Thank you for your sharing of knowl=
edge as it has helped us identify our Cookson pieces that the so-called exp=
erts have told us were "California Pottery". Susie & Dan Birrell, dbirrel=
