The Lexington Flea Market and Collectibles is located on Winchester Road, Route 60, in the Eastland Shopping Center. It is in northeast Lexington. Off of Interstate 75, take exit 110 and turn south. There are several antique shops in Lexington. One is on Bryan Station Road and another is on Leestown Road in Meadowthorpe Shopping Center. There's also one downtown, but I think they are closed on Sundays. There is also a flea market in Versailles, Kentucky which is west of Lexington on U.S. 60, Versailles Road - past the airport and past Keeneland. This is owned by the same people who have the one in Lexington and is called Versailles Flea Market and Collectibles. Versailles has a lot of antique shops right down town. Good luck! Thanks for the fast reply Chiquita! I ran across a Quaker Oat jar that someone was trying to tell me it was a McCoy (of course). I didn't think that it was a McCoy. This one has a glazed over 222 on the bottom. Couldn't recall who else made one, and couldn't find anything in my other books either. Thanks again for your help! Nelson bettyfnelson@home.com Subject: [Mccoypottery-talk] cookie Jar Did you know that a Ablington cookie jar sold on E-bay this week for $7,200.00? I was looking for a double headed bear cookie jar on About.com and found the posting of the sale of that cookie jar. Couldn't believe it. I know lots more about Ablington than I did yesterday! Do any of you know who made the double bear cookie jar? Front is little girl bear and back is little boy bear. It really looks like McCoy. I bought a Cookie Boy jar marked Mc Coy at an auction last night, bought the double headed jar also. While I was using the resources of About I found that they are in the process of making a division just for "Brush" and are wanting input on the prices they have listed. They are also wanting some one with a nice collection of jars to work with them. I think TV was mentioned and of course I thought of Quita she did such a great job on M. S. If you have a good cookie jar collection and want to share info for this new undertaking contact Barbara Crews Which Abington Cookie Jar sold for $7200? The highest priced cookie jar in my > Abington book is the Witch for $1500. I have a Lefton book, but did not find it. Only two pages of cookie jars...a pear #20489 for 85-95....I'd check out books at a local Barnes Nobles if you have one, to see if it could possibly be one of those.
