When Harold did his book, i don't think there was proof about the flat leaf 
pear and apple.  Catalog pages since surfaced which id'd them for certain.  
Except for duplicates of color, decals etc, I thought the Hanson/Nissen book 
was pretty complete---vol. 3 due out this fall will have some more 
included,,, Harold was approached before his death about doing an updated 
book, *I think!* but he wasn't interested. He did have two printings done, 
and the second included some changes from the first.  It is a good book and 
easy to carry around for quick reference...just not complete.  Please, 
everyone, be aware of the newer fakes on the market. chiquita
