Thanks for allowing me to join your list! I am on digest and although the
digest is very hard to read (all the html tags are still there from messages
not being removed from the replies) I still LOVE it!
Thanks to the moderator in starting this list.
I live in Central Ohio and am an avid auction fan. Therefore I have
developed an interest in McCoy pottery as it is a very common item in
auctions around here. That doesn't mean it goes cheap though. Folks around
here know the value usually and even at auction it brings a good price.
Anyway that is about all about me.
As I said I go to a lot of auctions and have picked up a few pieces of
McCoy. I usually don't even bother bidding because of prices, but I went
down into KY for an auction a few weeks ago and there was quite a bit of
McCoy there and it appeared that the folks at the auction either didn't know
any more about McCoy than I did or there just wasn't much interest.
I was able to pick up a couple of cookie jars for what I considered a
reasonable price. When I buy something I usually look it up on eBay or one
of the other countless sights that I have book marked to get more
information about it.
But one of the cookie jars I got must be either not popular or it is pretty
rare because I can't find it. It is "Cow Jumped Over the Moon" Brush
McCoy and is so marked on the bottom along with the number. I've found a
few that appear to be the mold which were made by RRP Pottery, but the
finish isn't the same and it is clearly marked Brush McCoy.

Also another question, when did they quit producing brush McCoy and just use
the McCoy logo?

Thanks again!
Jennifer
