Our Volunteers of America Thrift Store has some crazy prices sometimes
on things with a "name", but once on a back shelf I bought a barber mug
on a hunch for under $2.00 and sold it in the mall, where we were at the
time, to a collector for an unbelievable amount.  Sometimes you have to
hunt!
