The red paint on the drum was cold painted.It's highly possible that the paint was washed off...or wore off .  Since it's totally white, you might decide to decorate it yourself.  I don't see a problem with that as long as you don't try to represent it as original should you ever sell it....Have a super Day Everyone. Chiquita
