The site needs updating ( I wasn't actively selling much from mid Dec of 2000 until Nov.. of 2001 due to illness ) I am slowly getting things done bit by bit . I have more pieces I will be adding also I am trying not to list on ebay too much I will from time to time just for visibility I hope . . I prefer selling privately I like the more personal touch then the way it is with online auctions I prefer to be able to converse with a buyer without going through a cold impersonal email system and I would rather save ebays fee money so I can price better for the buyers. Right now I feel I am paying ebay not to sell for me LOL.. it is too slow and there are 10 or more sellers to each buyer. -- You can View My Current auctions ON ebay http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=sync-hronicity You can View My current auctions At Yahoo. http://user.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/user/jimpati Stop by My e-showcase A Collector's Niche for great affordable Fixed Priced items. http://www.zcntr.com/collectors_niche/ Check out the best Antiques and collectible community news group and List server online Peacelist. http://www.peacelist.com I am a premium PayPal Member try its fast, secure, You can qualify to get a 5.00 bonus credit free. https://www.paypal.com/refer/pal=FBCJCU8NLCSP6 Promote your site for FREE! with Free-Banners.com, the world's top FREE AD NETWORK. While we are talking about jars, I saw one several years ago that actually gave me that "gotta have" feeling and took my breath away. I didn't buy it because I didn't know anything about it but still wish I had. I was wondering if you might know anything about it, who made it, value, etc. I believe it was called "Auntie May's Delimma" (or maybe "Fanny" May's Delimma). It was a black mammy in a mint green dress with kerchief on her head. She was standing behind an old manual "Maytag" washing machine. She had a perplexed look on her face as one of her breasts was obviously caught in the manual ringer of the washing machine. Any info would be appreciated. I'll have to find the book and try the cookies. My family's favorite is SO simple and I make them every time we need to bring a snack/dessert. Everyone thinks they are SO homemade... Ha-ha! I buy the pre-made and divided sugar cookie dough in the yellow package (I think it is Nestlé's - NOT Pillsbury). After baking the cookies (sometimes I cut the squares in half to double the amount), I mix ready made-vanilla cake frosting with orange flavored extract and red/yellow food coloring. It makes a pastel orange colored icing and the cookies taste just like the ice cream "dreamcicles" with the orange on the outside and the vanilla ice cream in the middle. Enjoy! I think we lost from seven to 12 trees, will know more when it all melts, etc. We were one of the few lucky who did not lose power, although it flickered a LOT and went on and off for about ten seconds quite a bit too. Went out today and found out the bank was closed yesterday, the post office just got power a little while ago and the big Albertsons was out for a few hours yesterday. It looks like a warzone around here -- this storm is going to completely change the look of the landscape in town with so many thousands of trees destroyed and quite a houses damaged from big limbs. http://thecookiejar.net/yikes/ice.htm bc ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- To be removed from the list, send email to mccoypottery-talk-request@mccoypottery.com with the word "unsubscribe" in the body of the message. The first is a white pitcher with 8 flat panelled sides similar to some of the wall pockets shown in a McCoy book. It has a small goose like the Goodie Goose cookie jar on the side, with its blue ribbon around its neck. The bottom is marked USA and has a number at the top, obscured by the heavy glaze. A friend says she saw one like it in a Fingerhut catalog at least 20 years ago. Could McCoy have made the pitcher for Fingerhut? Is there any record of such a pitcher in any McCoy book? chip The second piece is a large 7 1/2" teacup with a handle, that says "snacks, nuts, CHIPS, nuts, Pop Corn, PRETZELS" on the side in various styles of lettering (some are capitalized and some lowercase). It has three large asterisk designs interspersed between the words. The glaze is the transparent drippy green shown on the older plant stands and gardiniers. There is no mark on the bottom, but it is glazed in the indentation on the bottom and slightly crazed. Does anyone know of this piece? How could I verify these pieces?
