I haven't participated in the discussion but when I started collecting I was
one who got burned by paying wayyy too much money for what I thought were
original McCoys.  I found this list because I then went on eBay to try to
find prices for what I bought and found that the 2 cookie jars I bought
didn't look right compared to those on eBay.  So I started doing internet
searches and found this list.
I'm very interested in this subject and the discussion between John and
Patti.
Again, maybe only the 2 of them are exchanging the email, but there are many
of us who are interested in McCoy and the fakes.  I am scared to death to
buy McCoy at anything other than a known McCoy auction because I don't ever
want to get burned again.  This discussion educates me as a buyer!
Why is it every list has a person who when the discussion gets long requests
that the discussion goes private?  Then there are many emails (like mine)
who respond to them which then causes a long discussion on why the
discussion should continue.....<G>

i am not sure how other people feel about this, but when i get up and have
48 messages on on subject FAKES it is rather upsetting,  i think if one
conversation keeps going you should go to your private email    i enjoy this
chat mail but do not want to have to sift through many many emails on the
same subject.  i guess i have the option to unsubscribe  but do enjoy the
knowledge and updates of mccoy items, not recieving a bog down of the same
subject.
