Sometime when you delete them another one will just pop up. They flash and flicker and bright and extremely annoying. So the smart computer people made a 'POPUP' stopper. The particular one that I use has to pat its self on the back each time it preforms its duty and there is a 2" square flag that pops up in the lower right hand corner. It tells you that it has stopped a POP UP. If you want to see it you have to depress the Ctrl key and click on what ever you were trying to see again. I have the 3 volumes but can't pin the color down in my mind. I'm trying to determine if a piece I bought last week is the lost glaze or not. While I'm here I might as well ask. I looked at a collection of pottery yesterday to possibly buy. Not a lot there, but maybe one of these pieces will ring a bell as to being worth more than $10 - $15. These are McCoy: A maroon flower form lamp. Several tall vases, each different but all McCoy, in cream, green, etc. 2 of the green "cup and saucers" that are molded together. One is small the the other the next size up. A badly chipped grape "flower form" vase that has crazing and a couple of hairlines. A turtle in dark green A Pink Poppy flower form vase that has a chip. An Antiqua line 9.5" Pitcher vase (with grapes) with sticker still on it. An antiqua line smaller pitcher vase, no grapes. Unmarked and unknown to me: A pair of wall pockets that have a bird house and a bird in front of the bird house. A squirrel on a log planter (not Weller) A Gaudy Blue Swan with gold trim and 2 cornucopia's matching it 2 Brush ducklings 2 Conestoga style wagon small planters If anyone has bought any of the above or seen a price recently, I'd love to know. Thanks Quita! Is it really glossy or semi-glossy? I bought a vase Sunday that I can't decide if it's Brush or McCoy (it's still packed away) but it had more of a greenish tint so it must be Brush. I get those 2 glazes mixed up all the time and the shape is common to both potteries! I paid a whopping $2.00 for it, and I knew it was one or the other, just couldn't get it straight in my mind. I love it when they lift up a nice piece of pottery and say, "nice piece of pottery". The crowd goes to sleep and I wait till the bottom before bidding! It's a pretty little vase and I guess it is Brush, but no matter, still a good deal! The guy that is offering me this stuff is a flea-marketer and I think his wife has decided to make him clean house for the winter, so we will see. I don't think I'm going to offer him much on the stuff because a lot of it is just box lot stuff for an auction, but there are a few nicer pieces in it. The wall pockets are very nice, but I can't find them in my books. Maybe Elizabeth is reading this and can look in her American Bisque book! My suggestions are as follows: 1. Don't use IE 2. Use Mozzilla or Netscape which have had the ability to block pop-ups for 7+ years now 3. Use a Mac and Safari, which again, has always blocked POP-UPS 4. Wait for Long Horn in the end of 04 where MS will finally add the ability to block POP-UPS in IE. Seriously though, there are several browsers out there that support blocking pop-ups. IE is about the only one I know of that does not.
