We have a Gateway in Harrodsburg, too but the Gate Food escapes me.  Is
this an Eastern Ky thing?

I've never seen a Gate Food store in KY.  I started my paid employment at a
"Gateway" store in Owensboro in 1964, but the only gas you got there was
from the deli.
