If you have a Hospice outlet in your community, you might consider donating
stuff to them. They do give a tax write-off sheet if you want it, and I can
vouch for the fact that they put the profits from the sale to good use.
Over the years three relatives have needed Hospice and they did everything
they could to make their last day comfortable and guide the family thru the
healing process.
