I'm having a great day so far.
I sold an old pickup truck this morning, so I had a little cash. Went to m=
y local pharmacy and they had my favorite cola on sale for less than $2.00 =
a 12-pack. Loaded up.
I had seen an advertisement for a yard sale, so I decided to find it. I mi=
ssed the first day of the sale, but by the time I got there today, it was c=
ool and sprinkling a little. They had the usual clothes and tools, etc. an=
d had two tables of kitchen gadgets, glass, and pottery. (No McCoy) I was=
kind of interested in a couple of bowls, when the lady walked over and sai=
d, "Everything remaining is ten cents each." WOW! I asked her for a cardb=
oard box and started packing stuff up. Sure, much of it is "made in China"=
or whatever, but look what Occupied Japan stuff is worth now. I did get b=
owls/planters/dishes by RRPCo, Calif., Ungemach, and an "Original USA." If=
I sold them for only $.25 each in my booth, that's 150% profit. I also g=
ot kitchen supplies, everyday stuff my kids can use now that they are movin=
g out into their own apartments. I usually drop my extra pocket change int=
o some bowls on my dresser, and now I can sell these (they're Hull) and use=
my unmarked bowls for spare change holders.
And I didn't even need to touch the money from selling my truck.
