Hello Mark:  I must admit that the Sanford's Guide to McCoy Pottery, 
is in my opinion the most complete, no nonsense, organized, guide to 
McCoy. It is the bible of McCoy I use exclusively.  It's price guide 
was assembled (so I am told) by a survey of many people and then an 
average price was arrived at.  The Sanford Guide was originally 
published in 1997.  I am continually asked if the prices are current 
given the fact that it was published in 1997 and I find that it is 
current when I compare it to other sources of collector values.  The 
Sanford's recently published (2002) a pocket price guide (Sanford's 
McCoy in-Your-Pocket) and the values are the same as in the Sanford 
Guide.  For the collector who wants to be able to identify a new 
find, the Guide is the best book to have.  (My opinion).  I assume it 
has been reprinted, but has had no requirements for updating or
