McCoy made a similar figure -- maybe they made the similar character,
because they couldn't legally make the Doughboy (Poppin Fresh) without
licensing it from Pillsbury.
The McCoy figure was shaped differently, with a different face and was,
IMHO, not even slightly as appealing as the Doughboy.
I'm prejudiced, though, because I've always been VERY fond of the
little Poppin Fresh. He's adorable. :-)
And out of loyalty to him, I have always resented the McCoy "imposter"
when I see it. ;-)
