Thanks a lot for the info Tim. This is exactly what I have, although I had overestimated the height. I searched google for "mccoy vase with bird and cherries" and found exactly what I was looking for. I'm so excited! I got it for $3 at a garage sale, owing to some chips that had been patched up and a hairline fracture in it. Obviously someone loved using it! My mom collects the pottery and doesn't care what condition it's in.
Thanks!
Jennifer

Sounds like one I have, only it is approx. 8 in tall. Page 226 in HNH Vol. 1. Made in the 40's in green, yellow, and pink. Called vase with bird and cherries by some. Book value $35 to $45.

Subject: [Mccoypottery-talk] Cardinal vase
I recently found a large (about 12" tall) urn-shaped McCoy vase with a raised motif of a cardinal sitting on a sprig of holly on the front and a smaller sprig of holly on the back. It has a shiny pink glaze, and the McCoy stamp from 1940-onwards is on the base. I can't find any information on the vase by doing an Internet search. Can anyone tell me about this particular style?
Thanks!
Jennifer
