I have never received anything about an insiders thing, but we do get
lots of spam like you're talking about even though we have the webTV set
to block it.  Our daughter thinks that before eBay changed the way you
can get someone's address, someone harvested addresses from there.  Have
been using eBay for 4 1/2 years, so she may be right.  She says she
doesn't get as much since she changed her email address for ebay.
