I can't really answer your question, but we were in various malls over
the  years, and sometimes someone would come in and we would get a
chance to go see what they had.  We never purchased whole estates
because we couldn't handle big furniture, but mall owners sometimes do
that, as well as do some dealers. You can advertise in the antiques
section of your newspaper that you want to buy certain things.  Be sure
to be fair, but we always tried to tell people that we couldn't pay much
more than 1/3 to 1/2 of what we would hope to sell it for.
