You have a Puss and Boots cookie jar by Shawnee.  I don't have my book
handy so can't give you a date, but Shawnee is no longer in business.  I
would guess it is a piece from the 1960's or early 1970's.  We got
interested in pottery shortly after that, and it seems as though they
were around then.  There are also a cat creamer and a pair of salt &
pepper shakers that match, if I remember correctly.
