[Mccoypottery-talk] fakes

Mostly  Cookie Jars and wall pockets are being faked with  only  one
mark  that right now  is  an unowned trade mark  I think  most of the
fakes  in CJ  or at  least  m1/2 are  ones  McC never made to begin with
. Size  also  fakes   may be smaller  coloring  is  not  the same
wither  mostly they can't duplicate the older  glazes . I am sure many
others here can add more to  this then I can. Fakes are not  too often
seen in my area  . YET!! I am sure they will reach here in record
preportions  the way they are selling online. Fakes  were started   over
10 years ago  by jenson  and  a few other  potters  after  McCoy was
sold completely and closed  two mrks  were  not  reregistered to  the
new owners only one so far  that I have seen  is  used on fakes .
