26 years is a long time.  We have been married almost 49 years.
Grandparents are special.  I had all 4 of mine until a few weeks before
I finished college.  My dad's mother was especially special to me, and I
was the oldest grandchild on both sides of my family.  I missed her for
years after she was gone.
Glad you found the Rookwood piece.   I had something from the 1930's or
1940's my mother had.  I think she must have been arranging a trip to
the pottery or something.  I sold it  at the pottery show in Zanesville
several years ago.
Yours has special meaning to you.  Glad you found it.
