This was at the Hoffman Auction and they were advertised as Sugar Buckets.
They sure are some beautiful pieces of fine woodwork!
I probably should have bought the full set that I got choice on, but I
picked out the 3 best ones. Unfortunately they then went high and I didn't
get to get choice again.

Jennifer, I can't answer that. I have never actually seen it done, but
have heard of and read about it. Maybe somebody from New England can
answer that, or maybe the buckets you have are used for something else.
