You don't sound stupid, that's a good question. Crazing is the light spider
web effect in the glaze..(looks like fine cracks )..NORMALLY caused after a
number of years....temp. changes, etc. might affect this...New pottery has been
made that exhibits the same effects...confusing newer collectors
