Hey Linda!
You know your Kentuckyism is showing through! And I don't know if you are
from KY or not, but I think we invented the Soup Beans and Corn Bread and
every single person I know eats 'em a bit differently. But you forgot the
Fried Taters with Onions to go with them!
My mother makes lumpy gravy. So I went to my granny's to learn and ya gotta
put coffee in it (good strong BLACK coffee) to make it just right.
And believe it or not, I just learned last year how to make "proper"
southern biscuits as mine always turned out hard. But now I make the best
ones around!<G>

Gravy from a mix????? My ancesters would roll over in their graves......How
hard is it to whip up a mess of gravy? These younguns now a days want
everything pre-made for 'em. I grew up on soup beans and corn bread and of
course biscuits & gravy. I taught my kids (boys & girls) how to do it right!
