He had 1000's of pieces, glass, china, pottery, vintage aluminum kitchen ware, etc. I got there a bit early and talked to one of the handlers and he told me that he thought there was mccoy in one of the back rooms. Well I was second in line and went straight to the back when he opened the door. What did I find? A mammy cj! But I forgot my tape measure and asked him if he had one, he did. She stands exactly 11 inches and has much of her cold paint left. I gave $90 for her. I am pretty certain that she is the real mccoy, but if anyone is interested, I can send photos to verify that she is. Ya'll have fun, Dave __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I was so mad I spoke up to the vendor, I said where did you get this stuff, he just replied "maybe Doller General." He also had fake Roseville. I tried to warn those looking at his fakes, but they did not know of fakes. On our way back, 2 of the 3 cookie jars were gone. Another vendor had pairs, 3 of the Mccoy wall pockets, I also made it know that everyone was not stupid. My daughter found a piece of Rookwood for 25 cents, I do not have a book for that pottery, and can not find it on the internet, and help with the value is appreciated, # 6660F date 1950. This was found at a yard sale in my hometown before we left. The Rookwood is 3 1/2 in. tall, black outside, and a blue multi color swirl on the inside. Any help on it is so much appreciated. By the way, our opinion was that it was not worth it to go south of Chattanooga, because there were not enough sales to justify the travel. On the way back, I spy a yardsale sign. Turned on the road and followed signs wayyyyyyy back in the sticks. The lady asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. When I told her McCoy, she went in the house and came back with a nice little planter. About 12 inches long, 3 high and 3 wide, white and in perfect conditon. Looks kinda like floraline design, but marked mccoy usa. Gave her 3 bucks for it. Not as good as last weeks find, but hey, its McCoy, right?
