read the description carefully...brush mccoy didn't make jars...and this is  
a later mccoy jar.  My opinion is that it's just a dark photo of the  standard 
color (one of the standard colors) that this jar came in.   Still,it's a good 
buy!  I'm up too late,  goodnight!
