I had never thought of crocks but they would be great.  So frequently you
can get cracked, chipped and totally unusable crocks for almost nothing. Old
homes are wonderful. Mine was built in 1932 and has real 2x4 and the
neighbors told me that the man who had it built paid a penny a brick to get
it built! Betty
