[Mccoypottery-talk] the week-end's auction and the Trademark

That has been an interesting discussion on the Trademark.  Do you all
know that Billie & Nelson design items yet and have them produced by a
company in Zanesville?  Some are new designs, and the earlier ones were
miniature replicas of McCoy pieces.  I think they are marked McCoy Ltd.
Chiquita, correct me if I am wrong on this.

As to the auction, we live in Columbus, but we sort of forgot about it
too.  The collection of Martha Smith was part of the auction.  We had
crossed paths with her a few times over the years when there were still
pottery shows in the auditorium in Zanesville and later at the Ceramic
Center.  Her husband died a few years ago.  She was a long-time friend
of a friend and neighbor of mine (we go to the same church).  Martha
went into the hospital with pneumonia last week and died at the age of
70, very suddenly and a real loss to my friend.  I hope all of her
pottery went to good homes.  She was a nice lady.
