I bought a "birds and cherries" pitcher that turned out to be a repro way before I knew any better. When I got it, I thought it was in awfully good shape. Later, as I bought books and studied, I discovered that the real ones weren't even marked McCoy. The one I bought was. It shows how important it is to study, study, study. I even carrry a small tape measure with me when I go "antiquing" just so I can measure some treasure before I buy it.
