Did McCoy ever use the mark "USA" without the word McCoy?? I see a lot of old items that just have the mark "USA". Do you know what they are?

There are lots of perfectly well-meaning people out there that are not as expert as they would think. I once had a very-nice lady who collected McCoy pottery tell me that all pottery marked USA was actually made by McCoy. I didn't have the heart to argue with her as she was very sure of herself, but I have always wondered what all she had in her collection. Someday her collection may be sold by an auctioneer who calls it all "McCoy".
As stated before, the key is "Education, Education, Education." And this forum is a good source of information.
