Since from Thanksgiving on many people are very busy, I would suggest
prior to Thanksgiving...but Sunday? perhaps Saturday.

Absent and phone bids, yes.
Also online?

People probably will not travel farther than a couple hour drive.

Personally, I do not think that many jar collectors follow the Publicaton
you mention.  Ads on line is better.

The market is up and it is down...depends. The climate or market for jars
is good, but depends on how well the auction is promoted.
