Sometimes price depends on your area and the interested parties. I've seen the cookie jar in shops for $150. Sidney was chief designer at mccoy, then his son Leslie was. I have a couple of "one of a kind" Cope pieces. I will post them in the "gallery" section of this site soon! One piece in particular, really highlights my collection, a mammy on a scoop, but is NOT the common piece, in color or decoration, really cool piece, coming soon to the gallery, LOL. Some of the established and trusted members of this group like Elizabeth said that if you ever had a chance to get an out of print book published by Nichols called "McCoy Cookie Jars first to last" to buy it. I went to a site called Iwant.com and put it on my wish list. Throughout the years I have gotten notification that one of the books had been listed and they have all been way out of sight for me. Last month I was notified that a book that had at one time been a library book was listed for over $700.00. Needless to say someone else got the chance at the book. Just wanted you to know that this used paperback should be picked up at any garage sale.
