A reader was trying to find out about how much the original McCoy Mammy jar might have sold for when it was new. Any ideas or thoughts? I would random a guess that it probably cost anywhere from less than a dollar to 2 dollars at a Woolworth's back in the day, or any other 5 and dime. We fall into that category but did not collect cookie jars. I do remember that we bought a few brand new at a discount department store or two and eventually resold them, but I don't remember what we paid. This would have been in the mid-1970's.
