Mt. Clemens Pottery

Hi all,

This is my first msg. with AOL 4.0 so I hope I'm doing this right! :) I'm new
to McCoy pottery. I got into it when I went on eBay looking for old planters
to use in my new home. (I'm especially interested in the Capri, Cascade, and
Harmony lines due to the styles of rooms they are housed in). And within about
three months, there are about 15 McCoys now in my house. :)

To the person who had a bad experience on eBay, I definitely sympathize... I
had two bad eBay experiences one as a buyer and one as a seller, but it was
two out of probably a hundred transactions so far (my ID is guitar). Don't
give up! One trick I do if I am concerned about the reliability of a seller is
I e-mail the seller first to ask a question  - think of something you'd like
to know first even if slightly trivial. This will allow you to judge his/her
helpfulness and promptness. If the seller doesn't reply or isn't helpful, that
is a big clue!

Anyhow, I have seen planters on eBay listed as "Mt. Clemens Pottery" pieces.
As I lived near Mt. Clemens, Michigan for nine years and still live in
Michigan, I'm very interested in how Mt. Clemens Pottery tied in with McCoy. I
tried some research on the Web and read a little on Mt. Clemens Pottery, but
nothing was mentioned about McCoy. Any insight would be grateful in easing my
curiosity!!!

While perusing my e-mail caught a reply something about Michigan, but I must
have missed the original post. Is there a McCoy event coming up in Michigan?
