new to McCoy also

I don't know the exact scenario but (someone correct me if I am wrong)
Brush and McCoy joined (date not sure) to form the Brush-McCoy Co.  They
split in 1925 and McCoy was McCoy again.   I am learning about McCoy flower
pots, vases, dishes, etc.  but have stayed out of the cookie jar arena so
I am not sure about cookies jars.  I try to stay away from things that I
don't know about especially when there are so many reproductions out there.
OK, now where are the experts out there?  I am sure somone knows the dates
and specifics.....Elizabeth?????
