Yes, unfortunately they are common and the copyright symbol is there
because the individual that is reproducing jars made by other companies
and McCoy , copyrighted the mark in 1991 after the McCoy Pottery shut
down.   McCoy never trademarked or copyrighted the mark.  Cheers!  Terry
