Hi Shari, Is it possible that the leaf is a Maple Leaf? I recently purchased 
a beanpot with a Maple leaf imprint on the bottom. I have also heard 
auctioneers refer to pottery as Maple Leaf but I have no idea who the maker 
is. I would be interested in knowing more about it myself if anyone here 
knows about such.
