oh, Jill...if you can get to a bookstore check out the Butterfly collection in almost any McCoy book...in matte white, too! I'm a butterfly and hummingbird gardener, so this line really suits my tastes!  The design of the butterflies remind me of going outside and finding scads of butterflies on my butterfly bushes! It's like a layer of snow some days...so many butterflies lined up on the floret spikes! 
There are so many wonderful colors and shapes of items in the butterfly line! I have 10 pieces so far! I had to give up on two recently due to a death in the family, but, hopefully they'll come along again when the timing's better! 

There's something about the feel, weight and colors of McCoy for me that makes it more appealing than other potteries...don't know how to describe it, but just a feeling! Matte white, yellow and green are my favorites!
