There are a number of McCoy Cookie Jars that have only a plain bottom--no
mark. However, they in reality do have a mark of identification. I have
chosen to say they have an "X" bottom, or a "Y" or a "Z".
"X" bottom--three cream-colored bars across bottom as per picture.
Cream-colored areas are what to look for.
"Y" bottom--two bars across bottom as per picture. Bars similar to the ones
at each end are what you are looking for.
"Z" Bottom--Only a seam in the mold shows. The seam may be a straight line
(as in the Monk) or three lines meeting (as in the Leprechaun).
