I would be willing to sign such a letter too.  There used to be someone
here in Ohio not too far from the Zanesville area who made repros of
Hull, McCoy, etc.  This was quite a number of years ago.  I too hate
repros, and if I ever unknowingly offer one for sale, I would expect to
be called on it.
