Terry, I think it's just a matter of personal opinion. As long as the new paint job is not represented to a buyer as "original" and you're doing it for your own pleasure... go ahead. If I were doing it, I'd try to keep colors as close to original as possible. I personally have not re-painted any of mine. Chiquita
