Hi, I bought a rooster cookie jar at an auction a while back and the auctio=
neer said that it was a mccoy. I bought it because I collect roosters and d=
on't know anything about mccoys. Then I heard that mccoys are collectible s=
o I started looking around to see what my cookie jar was worth and if I got=
for a good price. Well I haven't been able to find one like it anywhere. T=
hen I heard that there are a lot of fakes, so I started looking around to s=
ee if I could find my cookie jar listed as a fake. I haven't been able to f=
ind it there either. It's a big fat black rooster with some white and gray =
on it. It's tail feathers are right up against his head and they're solid. =
No curls or openings in them. It looks sort of like a puff hen that I found=
under fakes, only the hen has curls in it's tail and was white. Mine has c=
raze lines that run through to the inside. And when I compared the signature=
to the real mccoys I found online i couldn't see a difference. If anyones =
curious or think they might know what I have I would appreciate your commen=
ts and could put a picture of it online.=20
thanks, Theresa
